David Howes

David Howes, MD
President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Howes began his medical career as a family physician serving residents of a fishing community off the coast of Maine. His first position with Martin's Point Health Care was Unit Medical Director, Bath. David earned his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School, Hanover, NH, and completed residencies at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont, Burlington, and the Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor.


Dale Bradford

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Bradford has a long and distinguished career in health care management and operations. His previous positions include Vice President and General Manager of ChoiceCare, an Ohio-based HMO; financial division head for Cigna Healthcare, where he also managed the finance department and national accounts for a Cigna subsidiary; and CPA with Arthur Andersen & Co. He is also the co-founder of a health care management consulting firm based in Cincinnati. Mr. Bradford graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University.


Betsy Johnson

Chief Medical Officer

Before joining Martin's Point, Dr. Betsy Johnson served as Chief of Internal Medicine and Adult Urgent Care at the Kenmore Center, part of Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, in Boston, Mass.   She was a practicing internist at Harvard Vanguard for 11 years, during which time she also earned a Master in Health Care Management degree (MHCM) from the Harvard School of Public Health.  A Bowdoin College (Brunswick, Maine) alumnae, Dr. Johnson earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., then returned to Maine to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at Maine Medical Center.


Sandra Monfiletto

Sandra Monfiletto
Chief Administrative Officer

Ms. Monfiletto is a senior human resources executive with more than 20 years experience not only in health care, managed care and hospital administration, but also in banking and high tech. Her professional assignments have been with IDEXX Laboratories, Maine Medical Center, Wright Express and CIGNA. She holds a BS in Accounting and an MS in Business, both from Husson College and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).


 
Dan Olsten

Chief Delivery Systems Officer

Mr. Olsten has worked in management roles in a variety of health care settings.  Before joining Martin's Point, Mr. Olsten was the Director, Operations and Development with Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates where he served as lead project manager for the launch of the Commonwealth Atrius Cancer Center in Weymouth, Ma. Prior to this, he was the Specialty Administrator of Internal Medicine and Behavioral Health at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Newton, Ma. Mr. Olsten holds an MBA degree from Boston University and attended Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Dennis Reese, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Dennis brings to Martin’s Point 25 years of experience in both clinical and health plan executive positions in integrated delivery systems, publicly traded managed care companies, hospitals and physician practices.  He comes to Martin’s Point from Kaiser Permanente Northwest, in Portland, Oregon, where he also served as Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to joining Kaiser, he served as CFO for Priority Health based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a large managed care company operating within an integrated delivery system providing commercial, Medicaid, Medicare and self-funded health plans.
